The end of the beginning is coming and I’m getting restless

Now I think back fondly on my time in London, where the sky had its own distinct fashion of blue
And I don’t know how to describe it, so I guess I’ll just have to find a way to go back there with you

We’ll take a walk by the river and watch the sun set on Waterloo station
Immersing ourselves in The Beatles, and Shakespeare, Ray Davies, and Charles Lutwidge Dodgson
Pitch a tent by a statue of Churchill, and you might keep an army from marching
But I think anyone who claims to be in search of world peace
Should head down to Kensington Gardens

Where we’ll chase the ghost of Peter Pan, the Watchmen and the Sandman
And we’ll figure out where they went wrong so that we can right
And if you stay beside me, I’ll try and make sure there’s a place for you here in my arms
Every night for the rest of our lives

And the blue skies over London don’t mean anything

If this is the end of the beginning, then I guess I’m ready to start over again
